Why we're opening the porch
This is a good problem to have: the plants are producing faster than our pop-up stand alone can keep up with. We'd rather see this fruit on your table than watch it over-ripen on the vine. Porch pickup lets neighbors grab what's fresh, on their own schedule, without waiting for the next pop-up date.
What's available right now
Everything was picked at peak this week in our Buchanan Arts District garden. Tomatoes ($3.50/lb): Cherry, Big Beef, and Black Krim, a smoky heirloom that actually tastes like a tomato. Sweet peppers ($3.50/lb): green bell, yellow bell, banana, and rainbow. Build-a-Basket, $8 small / $15 large, mixes tomatoes and peppers. And a $2/lb 'seconds' bin for split-but-delicious fruit.
Why picked-ripe, local produce is worth the text
Grocery-store tomatoes get picked green and ripened on the way to you. Ours ripen on the vine until the day they're yours. That is the whole difference you taste, and it only works when the food doesn't travel far. Knowing exactly where your food came from shouldn't be a luxury; with porch pickup, it's a text message away.
Get first word on what's fresh
The farm list always hears first: what's ripe, when the porch is stocked, and the next pop-up. Text TOMATO to 615-212-9394 to join, then reply whenever you want to order. Fresh, local, in season.
