We're Bob and Julie, and we grow organic heirloom tomatoes and peppers on our little urban farm in North Nashville. We pick them the morning you buy them and sell them from a stand out front a couple days a week. That's the whole thing, for now — we've got bigger plans, but they start with a really good tomato.
No acreage, no barn — just a North Nashville urban farm: grow bags, raised beds, and a trellis Bob built one weekend. Someday it'll be a real homestead on real land. For now, everything on the stand was on the plant this morning, right here in the neighborhood.
Where we'll be and what's ripe this week. Quantities are small and it goes quick, so text the list if you want a heads-up.

Too much fruit for the pop-ups alone — so the porch is open. Text what you're looking for, we send a pickup time and the address, you grab it fresh.

We grow four tomatoes on our North Nashville urban farm, and each one has a job. Black Krim is the smoky slicer, Big Beef is the classic sandwich tomato, Cherry is the snack that never makes it inside, and Roma is your sauce and paste tomato. Here's how to pick the right one.

A season share is a simple deal: you prepay once, and through the season you get first pick of whatever we're harvesting from our North Nashville urban farm - tomatoes, peppers, and more as it comes in. It supports the farm up front, and it gets you the best of the harvest before the stand even opens.

We grow organic - no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers - on our small urban farm in North Nashville because we actually eat this food, and because how you grow something is most of what it tastes like. It's more work and smaller yields, but a tomato picked ripe from clean soil is a different thing than one bred to survive a truck.

Fried green tomatoes are firm, unripe tomatoes sliced thick, dredged in cornmeal, and pan-fried until golden and crisp. You need green (unripe) tomatoes - ripe ones are too soft. We sell green tomatoes at our North Nashville stand as a special ($2.50/lb), so you can grab a bag and have these on the table in 20 minutes.
